The Connecticut Bassmen
Welcome to The Connecticut Bassmen founded in 1981 by a group of avid bass fishermen to share their common interest in the sport of bass fishing. We promote catch and release and the involvement of family members fishing together along with protecting our resources and environment.
We are located in the Bristol/Plainville area of Connecticut and fish a tournament trail of 10 tournaments, of which the best eight count towards your standing. We host two fundraisers a year, an Ice Derby in February and a Mixed Open in early June to support our activities and donations such as The Ride for Justin and Toys for Tots.
Connecticut Bassmen is affiliated with The Connecticut B.A.S.S. Federation Nation, a Chapter of B.A.S.S. which is currently owned by ESPN. Our members can fish the Connecticut B.A.S.S. Federation Nation trail as either a boater or non-boater and qualify for the state team and fish in a regional tournament to qualify to receive a birth in the Bass Masters Classic. We also have members who fish the North East Bass Association ( NEBA) trail which is a team tournament trail. The top 10 teams fish a classic tournament for cash prizes free.
